Staff Changes Announced for Upcoming Season

CASSOPOLIS, Mich. (April 18 2014) –
The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints (AVBBSS) announced staff changes for the upcoming season. Mark Tarlton will serve as Competition Director and Flagman while Tony Postma has been appointed to the RACEceiver Communication Director and will be assisting on the series Twitter account (@Super_Sprints).

Tarlton has been involved in racing for nearly 30 years and most recently served as Competition Director with the Hoosier Outlaw Sprint Series for the previous five years. His motorsports career began as a driver and he earned the Street Stock Championship at Avilla (IN) Speedway in the early 1980s. Tarlton also spent time behind the wheel of a winged sprint car.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to work with the race teams and be a member of the Auto Value team,” said Tarlton. “I’m familiar with a majority of the teams with my HOSS experience the previous few years. My goal is maintaining a level playing field to all sprint car teams that race with us.”

Postma has been working with AVBBSS for the previous five years in the positions of Flagman and Competition Director. Prior to his involvement with the sprint car series, he was the flagman for nine seasons at Berlin Raceway located in Marne, Mich. Postman began his racing career as a crew member for an Outlaw Late Model team at Berlin.

“Twitter is such a valuable tool, I’m looking forward to helping inform the fans that are unable to make it to the race,” said Postma. “Being the voice on the RACEceiver is also an important element of keeping the show moving and I’m looking forward to continuing to being part of the family at AVBBSS.”

The series website,, was recently re-launched with a brand new look. This year Live Updates will be featured during a majority of the events allowing fans to follow along with lineups, results, twitter feed and the latest news and information form the race track.

The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints Series competes in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Auto Value Auto Parts has been a supporter of the group since its formation in the fall of 1996.

The 2014 Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints season kicks off Saturday, May 31 at Angola (IN) Speedway.
