An Inside Look - Toledo and Auto City

CASSOPLOLIS, Mich. (June 8, 2015) — The USAC Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints return to action with their first doubleheader weekend of the 2015 campaign. On Friday, June 12, the series visits Toledo (Ohio) Speedway for the All American Coach/Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness Fastest Short Track Show in World and then travels to Auto City (Mich.) Speedway on Saturday, June 13. 

Points Update:
Tennessee's Kyle Edwards took over the early season points lead after scoring the feature victory at Kalamazoo (Mich.) Speedway on Saturday, June 6. Edwards posted a runner-up finish in the opener in April at Five Flags Speedway and currently leads one of the most diverse Pavement Spirit Car drivers Aaron Pierce by just six markers. Season-opening winner Bobby Santos Jr. ranks third with defending series champion Jason Blonde and Ryan Gillenwater completing the top five.

Most Recent Event (King of the Wing) at Toledo Speedway (July 2, 2014):
California’s Jo Jo Helberg won the Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness Rollie Beale Classic at Toledo (OH) Speedway on Wednesday, July 2, the inaugural event in the King of the Wing Sprint Car Shoot Out promoted by Davey Hamilton along with support from the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints

Helberg powered around the outside of Florida’s Garrett Green to take the lead on the 11th circuit. He then fended off a furious challenge from Troy DeCaire before pulling away for the victory. Davey Hamilton Jr. finished in third position with Ryan Litt and Cody Gallogly filling out the top-five finishers.

Last Year's World's Fastest Short Track Show at Toledo Speedway (June 13, 2014):
Ryan Litt had a successful return to the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints with winning the third event of the season at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway in the All American Coach/Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness Fastest Short Track Show on Friday, June 13.

Litt passed early race leader Jason Blonde on the 13th circuit and then led the remainder of the 30-lap event. Blonde was second in the final rundown with Davey Hamilton Jr. placing in third spot. Fourth was Troy DeCaire, who was penalized two positions after jumping a restart. Fifth place went to Travis Miniea.

Most Recent Event at Auto City Speedway (August 16, 2013):
Cody Hoover won the Auto Value Super Sprints feature at Auto City Speedway in Clio, Mich. on Friday. August 16. Hoover inherited the first position near the mid point of the race after leader Aaron Pierce and second running Hank Lower tangled. Once out front, Hoover drove to his first career victory in just his fourth start with the series. Following the winner across the line included Joe Swanson with Tim Cox.
