Tom Hartsell interviews, the winner of the Season opener, Jason Blonde.

5/10/08 - Clio, Michigan: On Lap 26, Jason Blonde in the #42 sprint car took over the long time lead of Jimmy McCune in the #88 machine to win the season opener of the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Sprint Cars.

Rounding out the top five were the #88 of McCune who finished second. Ike Beasley, in a new car the #99, took third spot.  Fourth place position was claimed by the 07 of Ryan Litt, He started 8th, brought out one of four early cautions on lap 7, went to the back of the field, then traveled his way back to one of the top five spots.  Troy Underwood, fast qualifier of the evening turning a 13:15 finished 5th. 

6th place went to veteran driver Bill Tyler. 7th place held by the team of owner/driver John-Boy Hotchkiss and Curt Shumaker.  Jeff Banyas took claim to the 8th winning spot after traveling across two states to drive the Auto City Oval.  Ryan Davis takes 9th position in the 10x of the Tracy Rice owned sprinter.  Finishing 10th was the rookie candidate Derek Snyder in the #22.  11.
