On Saturday June 9th.,the AVBBSS returned to
Auto City Speedway for the first time since the tragic accident that
took the life of veteran racer Scott Seaton. On hand were some of
Scott's crew and family in support of the tight knit racing family.
The evening started with Jeff Bloom setting fast time at 13.20 seconds on the fast half mile in Mt. Morris. Jeff also rolled a 10 on the inversion for the second night in a row. In the Dowker Engine heat race, it was second year racer Aaron Katz in the Katz Well Drilling car winning. The United Trailer heat was won by veteran racer Troy Underwood in the Thunder Chassis machine. The Logo Boys heat it was Ike "The Iceman" Beasly coming out on top. The thirty lap feature was a fine race with alot of passing to get to the front. Jeff Bloom came home victorious afrter starting in the 10th slot, Mike Ling started 7th to come home second, followed by Dorman Snyder in third, Chad Goff fourth, Ryan Katz, in his first event of 2007 drove a nice race to finish fifth. Sixth went Dennis Craft, seventh "The Wildman" Brian Lay, eighth Jimmy Mc Cune, ninth to Ike Beasly, tenth Troy Underwood.
Next stop, Toledo Speedway Friday, June15th.
