Angola, IN (7/3) Jeff Bloom added to his season-long point lead in the
Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprint series after scoring the 30
lap feature win Tuesday night at Angola Motor Speedway.
Bloom started off the night by setting his 4th Hamilton Trucking
sponsored fast time of the year, with a 12.301 second run. As has been
his pattern this year, Jeff rolled a 10 for the inversion in the
feature, and it took him 22 laps to get through the front 9 and take
the lead, which he never relinquished. The race was slowed by only 1
yellow flag on lap 26. Bill Jacoby took the initial lead from the
outside front row before Dennis Craft took over from his 4th place
start. Craft was the runner-up at the finish, followed by Jimmy McCune,
Mike Ling, E.J. Calloway, Bill Tyler, Chad Goff, Jason Blonde, Troy
Underwood and Chad Delagrange.
The Dowker Engines first heat went to Underwood, followed by Bloom,
McCune, John Boy Hotchkiss and Mike Astrauskas.. The Logo Boys second
heat went to Blonde ahead of Tommy Fedewa, Ron Koehler, Goff and
Calloway. The United Trailers third heat was taken by Ling, chased by
Davey Brown, Delagrange, Tyler and Jacoby.
Bloom leads the points with 619, followed by Blonde 598, Goff 554,
Ling 543, Underwood 523, Tyler 510, Aarno Katz 495, Hotchkiss 491,
