Marne, MI-- Weather was once again a factor at Berlin Raceway, but once the rain passed, it was sunshine and clear skies. The show was only pushed back one hour, so at 8:00 p.m., the Auto Value Super Sprints heat races kicked the evening off.

The Auto Value Super Sprints provided the last race of the evening and, as always, they put on a great show for the crowd.

#26 Jeff Bloom started on the pole and immediately pulled away from the field. The #42 machine of Jason Blonde, who had won every race thus far in that division, was in second, but could not catch up to Bloom who began lapping cars on lap 5. Caution was out early; lap 6 saw the #23 machine of Matt Kinzinger slow and the cars were slowed so he could make it back to the pits. On the restart, Bloom was off again leaving Blonde, #07 Ryan Litt and #4 Troy Underwood in a close battle. Underwood and Litt passed Blonde then tried to reel in Bloom. Just as the field was started to spread out, caution was out again on lap 20. #44 Teddy Alberts spun out in turn 4, right in front of the leaders. Just three laps later, the final caution came out for the spinning car of Underwood. Bloom got another excellent restart and while #99 Ike Beasley took second from Blonde, there was just no catching Bloom. Bloom shattered Blonde’s winning streak by 1.552 seconds over Beasley. Blonde, #75 Curt Schumacher, #46 Jim Swain, #20K Kyle Flint, #10 Ryan Davis, #81 Aaron Pierce, #07B Jeff Banyas and Underwood finished in the top ten.

Priority Mortgage Fireworks lit up the sky, providing an amazing display and signaling the end of a fantastic night of racing.
